Tennis tips and schedule for winter

Tennis tips for Winter, there are several tips i give my tennis and personal training clients. First check that forcast a couple days in advance and pick times that will be warm. There are some great way to keep your hands warm, there is a mitten that goes on your hand that allows you to have your hand one the racket without wearing gloves. hard to control that the racket. there are some great hand warmers at REI that goes in your glooves, I use one and swap it between Winter is short in Atlanta, so another 6 weeks and we should be clear of the cold weather. I still teach all year round so people are doing it

Workout training while your staying in a hotel, or not near your gym

Hello Atlanta Fitness group, My customers are always asking strategy’s to stay on there workout program while there travelling for business or pleasure,

I have people that visit Atlanta and are looking for Personal training or Tennis lessons and I work with them.  While Walking through the Westin Hotel I picked up a card for running Routes around Atlanta. Thought it was very cool and checked out there site and found so much info about workout training and running and there gym facilities, you can even have fitness equipment in your hotel room.  You can do such exercises as pushup, and dips on the bed, Jumping jacks, run the stairs or the streets, calf raisers.

Start with 5-15 warmup which can include abs and core work and lite stretching. Tennis scoring rules, how to keep score in tennis 

Hello Atlanta tennis group and friends, Most of you know the rules of tennis but for those that don’t here are the scoring of points in tennis.

If a player(s)in the case of either singles or doubles, wins his first point, the score is called 15 for that player(server gives there score first and are responsible to giving the score after each piont)(scoring goes 15, 30, 40 game); on winning his second point, the score is called 30 for that player; on winning his third point, the score is called 40 for that player, and the fourth point won by a player is scored game for that player except as below:- If both players have won three points, the score is called deuce; and the next point won by a player is scored advantage for that player. If the same player wins the next point, he wins the game; if the other player wins the next point the score is again called deuce; and so on, until a player wins the two points immediately following the score at deuce, when the game is scored for that player.

During our Cardio tennis drills we have different ways to keep Score, for tennis games, Tie breakers etc
